Famous for its Five Sails - a landmark in the city of Vancouver - the VCEC will serve as the broadcast and media centre as it welcomes the world in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2010.
Directions from Vancouver International Airport
- Exit airport via Grant McConachie Way and follow onto overpass.
- Take the Granville Street /City centre exit off the overpass and continue along Granville Street.
- Once you come into the city over the Granville Street Bridge, take the Seymour Street exit off the bridge.
- Follow Seymour Street ten blocks and you will come to West Cordova Street.
- Turn left on West Cordova Street, then move into the right lane and turn right on Howe Street, which leads to Canada Place Way.
- The VCEC is straight ahead at 999 Canada Place.
Parking
The on-site underground parking is operated by Citipark on a first come, first serve basis 24/7. Special parking arrangements can be made by contacting Citipark directly at 604-684-2251.
- Enter at east side of building (foot of Howe Street), obtain ticket from dispenser and proceed to P1 or P2 for parking
- Use Convention Centre/Hotel elevators (not World Trade Centre elevators)
- For Convention Level: Press "G" for Registration, Ballrooms and Exhibits. For Meeting Rooms: press "M"
- If arriving from alternate parking locations, enter the VCEC through the lobby doors located to the west of the hotel entrance. Ballrooms and Exhibition Halls are at lobby level.
- For Meeting Rooms, take escalator up one level.
